Petroglyph National Monument
This day begins with a hike in Petroglyphs National Monument to see rock art that was carved a thousand years ago by the Ancestral Puebloan’s. Next, it’s off to Acoma Pueblo. Perched atop an isolated mesa in central New Mexico, Sky City is one of the oldest inhabited cities in North America. Walk the streets escorted by a pueblo resident who will tell you about the people, culture and history of this ancient adobe village. Dine on indigenous Acoma cuisine at the Y’aak’a Cafe.
