High Road To Taos, Chimayo & Taos Pueblo Tour

Travel the High Road to Taos.  This scenic drive through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains passes through villages and missions, some over 400 years old.   Along the way you’ll stop in Chimayo to visit El Santuario de Chimayo Shrine.  Next stop is in Taos at the Church at San Francisco de Asis Mission, a favorite subject for photographers and painters like Georgia O’Keeffe and Ansel Adams.  Once in Taos, you’ll tour Taos Pueblo with a pueblo resident.  This is followed by a picnic* in the park.  After lunch you’ll visit the Millicent Rogers Museum, home to an amazing collection of southwestern art.  Then, it’s off to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and a breathtaking drive along the Rio Grande before heading back to Santa Fe.
